"Lichtung" clearing(s) at the Danube

Erreichbar über einen alten Trampelpfad und eingefügt in die vorhandene Vegetation bilden die versteckten Lichtungen Oasen der Ruhe, Stille und Erholung. Die besonderen Charaktere in der Auenlandschaft, wie die Position der Bäume, dem Bewuchs mit Efeu, dem Lichteinfall, dem Wind oder dem Rauschen der Donau, wurden analysiert und genutzt, um mit minimalen Eingriffen individuelle Atmosphären und Klein-Klimata zu erschaffen. Die Sonneneinstrahlung minimiert den Heizwärmebedarf und optimiert die Energiebilanz.

Embedded in the vegetation at hand and accessible by a small dirt path, the hidden clearings are retreats for rest, tranquility and recreation, plus discovery and play. The particular characteristics inside the fluvial landscape were analyzed; like the location of the trees, the ivy covers, the light incidence, the wind, and the humming of the river. These were used to conceptualize minimal interventions that create unique and distinct atmospheres and micro-climates.
